Benefits of Being an AERA Member

AERA membership provides individuals in the field of education research with access to the latest developments and the top researchers in the field. In addition, AERA provides members with the opportunity to make a difference in education. AERA takes those issues that are most important to our members and brings them to the forefront of the public policy debate. See AERA Membership Benefits for a detailed description of AERA benefits.

Benefits of Being a SIG Member

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide a forum within AERA for the involvement of individuals drawn together by a common interest in a field of study, teaching, or research when the existing divisional structure may not directly facilitate such activity. The Association provides SIGs program time at the Annual Meeting, publicity, scheduling, staff support, viability, and the prestige of AERA affiliation. See AERA - SIGS for a detailed description of SIG membership.

The BNE SIG will also provide its members with these additional benefits:

  • IMBES application
  • Updates on new research and pertinent information
  • A network of experts to answer questions
  • Other benefits to come - watch this site or subscribe to our newsetter.
